Kingfisher Marina is also referred to as Upnit Lodge and is owned by the Huu-ay-aht First Nations (HFN) Stayed 3 nights over the September long weekend. Came in by boat. Had a fantastic time. Everyone was so helpful from the people that took my reservation, answered my email questions, met us at the dock to give us our room key and the people at the front desk (at the motel) who provided us with information and more coffee for the room. The room was clean, nicely furnished and had a great view of the harbour on it's own balcony. Very comfortable bed , microwave, fridge, dishes etc all included. Even a barbeque on the common deck overlooking the water. This was way way better than the regular "fish camp" feel of some accommodation in Bamfield. Whether you are there to fish (we were) or looking for a quiet getaway, the Upnit Lodge is the place to stay. We have already reserved for next year! Thanks again to everyone at the Upnit Lodge. We stayed at this lovely and popular place, planning to stay for three days. On the first day, there was no hot water and natural gas. The building didn’t have Wi-Fi until we left. Because of these issues, we had to cut our stay short by one day. Still, the front desk staff were very nice and made us feel welcome.
Went for happy hour. Great service and food. Great views.
